The Village, Caterham

The Village, Caterham 03This was a flagship development by Linden Homes which also incorporates one of their regional offices.

The former military barracks were redeveloped in phases into a new community of more than 400 dwellings, Local Shops, a Health Club, vet Practice and many other local amenities for use by the new development and the surrounding area. The development was a mixture of new build and refurbishment, with adoptable highways, sewers and infiltration drainage.

The Scheme was designed by a Nationally reknowned Architect with a mix of environments and living spaces. Particular attention to detailing was required to ensure the roads and hard landscaping complemented the diverse dwellings and maintained the Architects original vision.

Ranelagh Road, Ipswich

Voyage Ipswich1A redevelopment of a former industrial area on a prominent town centre site, alongside the tidal stretch of the River Gipping in central Ipswich.

The scheme comprised of mixed commercial and residential use requiring Section 278 Highway improvements for access and public footpath and cycle links through the development. The Scheme also required foul water storage and a new footbridge over the river.

The storm water drainage design was developed in accordance with PPG25 & had to account for tidal lockout of the outfall in times of high tide.

Detailing of the hard surfaces was very important in order to achieve a pleasant riverside environment for both the residents and the general public, who would access the development to use the new footbridge provided by the developer as part of the Scheme. Accomodation works also formed part of the design brief to enable the new bridge to be installed by the specialist manufaturer.
